Women in Information and Computing Sciences (WICS)

Welcome

On the occasion of the Westerdijk Anniversary, in late 2017 the Department of Information and Computing Sciences started to organize a series of informal lunch meetings for their female staff. In early 2018, we decided to go more formal and founded the Women in Information and Computing Sciences (WICS) network.

WICS aims at connecting females in Information and Computing Sciences beyond the lunch meetings. Towards this goal, WICS wants to establish a network between junior and senior female members of the department, initiate activities to increase the number of females, raise awareness on issues faced by women, and increase career opportunities for women.

All female members of the Department of Information and Computing Sciences are welcome to join WICS, contribute ideas and actively participate in the network!
